Let's start by making a brief summary about Environmental Management and handling in a company, which according to what is indicated by the international organization for environmental standardization ISO 14001: 2015, they are administrative and operative processes that are regulated and audited through corporate policies and procedures, In addition, these must comply with the environmental regulations of the country where they are implemented and the international protocols. In this way, the company will achieve that its activities - whatever especiality - minimize and eliminate in the best of cases the negative impact to the environment that it can generate, having greater control of its environmental aspects- elements that are generated or interact with each of the activities within the corporation- and make the corporation sustainable over time, have greater acceptance nationally and internationally and be promoter of environmental culture with social responsibility.
Comencemos haciendo un breve resumen sobre la Gestión y Manejo Ambiental en una empresa, que de acuerdo a lo indicado por la organización internacional para la estandarización ambiental ISO 14001:2015, son procesos administrativos y operativos que se regulan y auditan mediante procedimientos y políticas corporativas, además estos deben de cumplir obligatoriamente la normativa ambiental del país donde se ejecute y los protocolos internacionales. De esta forma la compañía logrará que sus actividades -cualquiera sea su rubro- minimicen y eliminen en lo mejor de los casos el impacto negativo hacia el ambiente que esta puede generar, teniendo mayor control de sus aspectos ambientales -elementos que se generan o interactúan con cada una de las actividades dentro de la corporación- y lograr que la corporación sea sostenible en el tiempo, tenga mayor aceptación a nivel nacional e internacional y ser promotora de cultura ambiental con responsabilidad social.

Pero, ¿qué es la aplicación de un sistema tan estructurado como es la ISO 14001 en nuestro día a día?; que luego de una jornada laboral retornamos a casa y comienzamos a desarrollar actividades rutinarias propias del hogar, como es el salir a pasear con nuestra mascota, encontrarse con los chicos en casa para ayudarlos en las tareas, hacer deporte, cocinar para el día siguiente, lavar el carro, ir de compras, etc; será que nuestras actividades rutinarias son a veces más complejas y por inercia en varios casos que no nos atrevemos a auditarnos para ver si es que estamos realizando bien nuestras tareas cotidianas en pro de un mejor ambiente? o es que no tenemos la conciencia y la sencibilización necesaria para ser frente a nuestras costumbres que se han vuelto hoy en día un poco por inercia y lograr ese cambio positivo que tanto requiere nuestro planeta?.

Podríamos decir que el aplicar la ISO como tal sería muy engorroso y robotizado... en este caso podríamos ver y saber que cada acción que ejercemos en nuestro día a día tiene un resultado positivo o negativo, así como cuando empleamos nuestras palabras... si tan solo dejáramos de ver a nuestro medio ambiente (entorno natural) como el que "nos debe" de dar todo lo que pidamos o deseamos tener... que nunca se va acabar el agua, nunca el suelo va ser infertil, siempre el aire va estar limpio, nunca van a dejar de crecer plantas o que los animales están para ser cazados y son solo alimento nuestro... o que el dinero vale más que cualquier en nuestra vida o ecosistema...

Podríamos reestructurar el concepto que tenemos de nuestro medio ambiente y empezar a dar ese gran paso que nos permitirá dar el cambio de 180° que tanto desea y espera nuestra naturaleza... como es el simple hecho de que todas las mañanas nos alimentemos con alimentos (valga la redundancia) orgánicos y naturales, el utilizar nuestros desperdicios orgánicos para abonar la tierra de nuestras macetas o jardín, el utilizar transporte público o si es que tenemos vehículo, poder llevar a más personas con nosotros en el mismo, tener nuestra taza en la oficina o llevar un envase con agua para hidratarnos durante el día, comprar productos que sean amigables y no dañen el agua, aire o suelo, comprar solamente lo necesario para evitar generar más residuos (basura) a la larga, separar nuestros residuos para poder reutilizarlos (si se da el caso), donarlos o llevarlos a lugares que se encarguen de acopiarlos (juntarlos) para que luego sean reciclados... que cada salida que tengamos sea a la playa, al bosque o a dar la vuelta al parque con nuestra familia o amigos o simplemente solos, sea considerando y agradeciendo siempre a nuestro medio ambiente, como es el promover el turismo ecológico, el cual incentiva el apreciar y valorar más nuestra naturaleza.
